I made it!

It all started on Saturday night!

I was making mommy have some really bad pain, she couldn't walk, and she could barely talk. Finally at about 3am on Sunday morning I made mommy and daddy go to the hospital.

We got checked in, and my doctor was already there for he was the doc on call! After a few hours mommy had fully dilated, and began to push around 11 am. After only 29 minutes of pushing I came into this world.

June 29th @ 11:29 am, weighing in at 8lb 3oz I got put into mommy and daddy's arms for the first time. Wow, I have a lot of hair! I was kind of messy for the first few hours, but then daddy gave me a bath and I was exhausted. I spent the rest of the day sitting with mommy, daddy, grandmas, grandpas, cousins, aunts, uncles, and just about everyone!

They named me Kaia (they still can't decide on my middle name). Now I sleep with mommy and daddy most of the day, and wake up for food every few hours. Mommy is doing well, and she looks great, daddy got some good sleep and can't get enough of me. They also told me I have a "Himalayan Spot" on my back which means that I will most likely have dark olive skin as I grow.

I wuv my parents as much as they wuv me.

Prego sisters

So a couple weeks ago mommy had another baby shower with the family. It was also a shower for mommy's sister Beth, who is pregnant with a baby boy due August 24th. I'm excited to have a cousin coming into the world not too long after I do...we will be such good friends!

Baby Shower

My first baby shower was yesterday with all of mommy's friends. Mommy had lots of fun (when I wasn't jabbing her in the side which I tend to do a lot lately) and I got TONS of cute stuff! Thanks to mommy's wonderful friends for throwing it & for all the great gifts : )

Mommy is Pretty, Daddy is a dork.

Dad got the old camera out and took some photos of me and mommy. He didn't know what he was doing but luckily if you take enough shots then one manages to turn out right. Right now I am draining mom of all her energy, like to do cartwheels in the belly, and I got the hiccups the other day.

I make mommy tired!

Its only 2 months until I enter the world and right now I like to punch mommy from the inside and suck all of her energy. Lucky my parents got me a new house and set up my room so I have a place to sleep! Now if only the cat would not try to steal my baby bouncer everything would be good!
